I'm Faustina, and this space is for mothers who are learning to find peace and faith in the middle of life's hardest seasons. Sometimes we don't choose the fight. The fight finds us. It shows up as heartbreak, exhaustion, betrayal, or endless responsibilities that never seem to stop. For me, it showed up through motherhood, through trauma, through co-parenting, through moments that tested everything I thought I believed. When the battle found me, I used to think peace meant escape. But if I could just get through it all, I'd finally rest. But peace is not waiting at the end of the storm. Peace is something God gives in the middle of it.
This is the transcript of Episode 1.
Psalm 46 says, God is our refuge and strength. An ever-present help in trouble. Not after trouble, not before it. In trouble. There's a kind of peace that doesn't make sense to the world. A peace that doesn't depend on whether people change, or the courts are fair, or the chaos stops. And it's not weakness. It's not giving up. It is letting peace be your defense.
When I started to understand that, something shifted. The circumstances didn't magically improve, but I did. The same voices that once triggered fear or panic started to lose their power because I wasn't fighting with anger anymore. I was standing in calm trust, in the quiet knowing that God was fighting for me.
If the battle has found you, maybe through someone who tries to control you or through exhaustion that feels unbearable, remember this. You don't have to be strong all the time. You just have to stay close to the One who is. Let His peace defend you. Let His love be your armor. And when it feels like everything's falling apart, whisper this to yourself, "The Lord will fight for me. I need only to be still."
Thank you for spending this quiet moment with me. If this reflection spoke to your heart, share it with another mother who might need a little light in her own battle. Until next time, peace be with you.
